I am going to be teaching a class at 4-h club on photography for kids ages 5-18 and I need some basic tips for taking photos, ideas on great still life photos, and lighting info.I am going to have a photographer helping me out but I am making all the work sheets and need to know some pointers that kids can understand. Also if you know of any sites that teach photography skills let me know. Thanks Alot!!! Oh and any info on cameras.
In my book digital is the easiest way to teach kids. I have four kids and I have several digital cameras. One thing I think is great is taking pictures of each other. If taking pic out doors and it is sunny you should not have no probs. IFlowers, buildings, nature are great pics. Also, you can do food shots to help them practice getting the pic centered. By using digital it lets them see what they need to do different in order to reach the best picture. If they are interested in photography at this age they are curious.
